This was my Graduation project about environmental storytelling and worldbuilding.
By combining 2D illustrations and 3D models I tried to create a conceptual world in which a narrative is told through the environment.
The in 3D modelled city was made to create a clear understanding of how the narrative is shaped as the player moves through the level.
The 2D illustrations are made to show how the final product should be detailed and finished in 3D.
After designing the level I modelled various buildings and bits of architecture. I didn’t want to remodel every single thing, so I used those as puzzle pieces to create new buildings with enough variation to keep things interesting.
